We started Windy Prairie Coffee because we were looking for rich and delicious coffee that was FRESH. We were unable to find what we were looking for locally, and in the fall of 2015, we began roasting coffee for ourselves in small batches. Soon after, we started roasting for our family and friends. The demand kept growing as word spread, so we upgraded to a bigger roaster and are now offering you that same great coffee—freshly roasted—at a reasonable price!

Travis & Edith

Our Story...

Travis Stahl grew up in South Dakota.  A coffee connoisseur from the age of 12, he has consumed coffee of nearly every quality and has been in search of excellent coffee ever since. Being a man of wild dreams, he is pursing the dream of a coffee shop! 

Edith was born in Pennsylvania, and is well traveled, having lived in 5 different states. She thrives on quality time and loves being outdoors. She enjoys her work as a nanny and housekeeper, and is committed to helping Travis fulfill his dreams.  

Travis and Edith met in Milbank, South Dakota, in 2013. Having seen in each other the qualities and values they both held dear, they enjoyed a six month courtship and married in January 2015. 

The values that first drew them together are now the cornerstones of Windy Prairie Coffee.
